HUNTER'S GREEN - A free skills clinic for the New Tampa Raiders lacrosse team will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Hunter's Green Park.

The organization had early signups for girls in Grades 3 to 8 and boys in Grades 3 and 4. They also have a waiting list for boys in Grades 5 to 8 for the new league that starts practicing in January. New players are welcome.

The clinic will be broken into similar age group and skill levels.

New Tampa Lacrosse Association joined the West Florida Lacrosse Association this year, with the first competitive season next spring. Due to the success of the Wesley Chapel program, and the number of players from New Tampa, a program was started specifically for developing players for Freedom High School and the eventual Wharton High programs.

Equipment is required for scrimmages but not the clinics. Stick drills are open to anyone. Coaches and players from Saint Leo University and Freedom High will assist.

For information call Brian Baker at 813 991-4835 or check www.ntlacrosse.com

Another clinic will be held Dec. 3.
