Good fortune smiles on Broncos, Plummer again
Associated Press

OAKLAND, Calif. - Jake Plummer threw a slant toward Rod Smith when Kirk Morrison stepped in front, seemingly poised for an interception and maybe even a touchdown return.
He dropped the ball. That's the kind of season it has been for Plummer: Even when he makes mistakes, he escapes unscathed.
Plummer passed for 205 yards and a touchdown, had no interceptions and wasn't sacked to lead Denver.
"You saw it, there was somebody looking out for me, football love, or something like that," Plummer said. "That ball was in No.52's hands. He should have run it back for a touchdown, but it fell to the ground. ... I've been marked as a guy who has thrown a lot of picks."
He had 20 interceptions last season. He has three this year.
Darrent Williams had a 52-yard punt return to set up the Broncos' first touchdown, then made an 80-yard interception return for a fourth-quarter score that ended Oakland's chance at a comeback.
The Broncos took a two-game lead in the AFC West after Kansas City lost at Buffalo.
Randy Moss had 29-yard touchdown among his six receptions, his most catches since joining the Raiders from Minnesota in March.
NOTABLE: The Raiders are 2-14 in the division since losing the Super Bowl to the Bucs in the 2002 season.
