This week's Part D events
Today: Sen. Bob Dole will speak at Tampa's A La Carte Pavilion, 4050 Dana Shores Drive. Officials from Medicare, the Social Security Administration and the Florida Council on Aging will answer questions. Insurance industry representatives will market their drug plans and Medicare HMOs. The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday: A Senior Extravaganza at Tropicana Field from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Officials from Medicare and the Social Security Administration, advocates from Medicare Today and AARP and representatives from Florida's SHINE program, which advises seniors on insurance issues, will be answering questions and giving advice. People who want individual help should bring a list of all their medications and dosages.
