SEMINOLE - The Seminole Library will hold a Library Lock-in for children in grades 3 to 5 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday. The event will include a pizza dinner, games, crafts, stories and more. Renninger's Antique Extravaganza in Mount Dora will be the subject of a trip for seniors sponsored by the Seminole Recreation Center on Saturday. The antique show features 1,200 dealers from across the country, a flea market and vegetable market. End-of-life issues including death and dying, hospice, palliative care, advanced directives, living wills and bereavement will be discussed during a free public forum from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the St. Petersburg College Seminole Campus Digitorium, 9200 113th St. N. The event, presented by the Applied Ethics Institute, will be moderated by Mary Tittle, Ph.D., R.N., College of Nursing, St. Petersburg College. Speakers include David A. Weiland, M.D., The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast; Patricia Thieleman, Ph.D., R.N., College of Nursing, St. Petersburg College; and Hanna Osman, Ph.D., College of Public Health, University of South Florida. Activities at this free community event will include holiday music, a holiday sing-a-long, the arrival of Santa Claus, Santa's Village, Holiday Lights Hayrides, Ice Carving demonstrations, holiday crafts, Bounce Houses and a "snow mountain" for the kids to play on.
