Three keys

Anything can happen when Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman meet in the Florida Classic, but here are some matchups to watch for Saturday:

SIDELINE TO SIDELINE: The success of FAMU's defense likely will hinge on whether it can cover the outside as fast as the Wildcats can get to it: B-CC QB Jimmie Russell and WR Eric Weems are masters of the Wyattbone high-scoring option attack. The Rattlers on Saturday constantly let Division I-AA No. 2 Hampton run outside, and the Pirates skated to an easy victory behind 543 yards of offense. FAMU can't let that happen again.

B-CC PASS RUSH VS. FAMU QBS: Senior Josh Driscoll should start, but elusive, athletic sophomore Albert Chester has been playing well and likely will come in at some point, if for no other reason than to throw off the Wildcats defense. The Rattlers' offensive line was porous early in the season, but B-CC linebackers Taurean Charles and Rodney Hughes should have to work harder these days to put pressure on Driscoll or Chester.

B-CC PASS DEFENDERS VS. FAMU QBS: Need more evidence that FAMU's passing attack - ranked No. 2 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference - will be under fire? The Wildcats have two of the top three pass defenders in the conference in Bobbie Williams and Larry Summers. Williams has intercepted six passes and broken up seven. Summers has 10 pass breakups and one interception.
