I want to thank Terry Tomalin for exposing the insane conditions that seem to abound in our fishery management. Thank you for putting a leash on the fox that is already in the hen house.

Interesting that Gator fans were caught with the FSU national championship trophies. We all know what happened when Dr. Evil stole Austin Powers' mojo. He was left powerless.
Maybe that explains why FSU has had such a lackluster football season. But now maybe we have our mojo back - just in time for the trip to Gainesville.

Busch rides wrong track
Kurt Busch got railroaded by the Phoenix police and Jack Roush. His alcohol level was .017. You could get that from swallowing mouthwash. The police totally misrepresented what happened and implied he would have been charged with drunken driving if their Breathalyzer had worked, causing him to be suspended by his team.
It just goes to show what a whiner Jack Roush is. Roush had his heart set on monopolizing NASCAR from every possible angle, but NASCAR isn't going to allow its image to be that of a bitter old miser with his foot on the little guy.
-- Bruce Hall, Tarpon Springs
As usual, Gary Shelton nails it (From binky to big boy for a night, Sept. 14). Alas, the headline writer almost spoiled this superb column and surely spoils it for Chris Simms, his fans and the Buccaneers with that arrogant headline. Clever? Maybe. Insensitive? Very.
