COACHES: UF - Billy Donovan (197-92 in 10th season; 232-112 overall); FSU - Leonard Hamilton (47-48 in fourth season, 247-258 overall).

NOTABLE: This is the first meeting between the schools on the Friday night before the FSU-UF football game since 2001. ... Florida returns to the court after posting back-to-back wins over ranked opponents and earning its first ranking of the season. ... The Gators have won six of the past seven over FSU, but the Seminoles embarrassed the Gators with an 82-69 win in Tallahassee last season. ... Florida has a starting lineup with four sophomores and one junior but is winning with balanced scoring (all five starters in double figures) and unselfish play (18.8 assists a game). ... In their two wins this season the Seminoles' margin of victory has been 30 and 19 over Jacksonville and Alcorn State, respectively. ... Junior forward Al Thornton is averaging a double double with 21.5 points and 10 rebounds.
