Festival singers to give string of performances

WEEKI WACHEE - The Nature Coast Festival Singers will present a Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Nativity Lutheran Church, 6363 Commercial Way.

The concert will include choruses from Handel's Messiah and other Christmas songs. The group's director is Carol Ayer; the accompanist is Kathy Hackemer.

Additional concerts will be on the following days:

--3 p.m. Dec. 4, Spring Hill United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill.

--7 p.m. Dec. 5, Christ Lutheran Church, 475 North Ave. W, Brooksville.

Rockhounds jewelry show offers baubles and bling

SPRING HILL - The Withlacoochee Rockhounds will host their 31st annual Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Dec. 4 at the SNPJ Lodge, 13383 County Line Road.

Special features include a replica of Aaron's Breastplate and replicas of famous diamonds of the world. There will be faceting demonstrations and silversmithing production by recent graduates of the Rockhound School. This year's show will include the introduction of a new gemstone that was discovered in Arizona.

Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for teenagers and free for ages 12 and younger. Coupons for discounted admission are available at various locations. For information, call Jerry Johnson at 688-7810.

Fire Department auxiliary to offer bake, yard sale

NOBLETON - The Tri-County Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will have a yard sale and bake sale from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at Fire Station 29 on County Road 476 (8 miles east of U.S. 41).

The sale will include an assortment of electronics, knickknacks, furniture, clothing and more. Call the Fire Department at 796-5212.
