Polish Legion sets annual Christmas fest for Dec. 11

SPRING HILL - The Polish Legion of American Veterans and Ladies Auxiliary, Walter Weiss Memorial Post 196, will host its annual Oplatki Christmas Celebration on Dec. 11 at the Deerfield community clubhouse on Candy Drive, just north of Spring Hill Drive.
Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. A traditional Polish dinner will be served at 2:30 p.m. Live Polish and American dance music will be provided by the Bee Sharps from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Those arriving early for the cocktail hour should bring their own beverages and snacks.
There will be a communal tree decoration, singing of Polish and American Christmas carols, a visit by St. Nick and the sharing of the Oplatek (Christmas wafer)..

Holiday tea to feature live music, Christmas raffle
BROOKSVILLE - The St. Anthony Columbiettes will host a holiday tea from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 20428 Cortez Blvd.
Entertainment will be provided by We Love to Sing. The event will include lunch, dessert and tea. There will be door prizes and a raffle for Christmas baskets.

Silvertones headliners at Dec. 17 dinner show
SPRING HILL - The Forest Oaks Women's Guild will host a dinner show featuring the Silvertones on Dec. 17 at the church, 8555 Forest Oaks Blvd. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m., followed by the concert.
Tickets are $16.50 each. Call Shirley at 688-3601.
