Authorities searching for driver that killed U.S. 19 pedestrian

The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a green Ford pickup truck that killed a pedestrian crossing U.S. 19 Saturday.

HOLIDAY - The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a green Ford pickup truck that struck and killed a pedestrian crossing U.S. 19 Saturday evening.

The crash occured at 6:47 p.m. near Sunray Drive. Witnesses said the pedestrian was first struck by the green truck and then by another car traveling north on U.S. 19, according to FHP Trooper Larry Coggins Jr. The truck's driver did not stop after the crash.

The name of the pedestrian was not released Saturday evening.

The FHP asked anyone with information about the crash or the green truck to call (813) 632-6859.
