LITHIA - A viewing and funeral service for Pfc. Marc Delgado, killed in Baghdad on Thanksgiving Day, has been scheduled for next week.

The viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 W Brandon Blvd. in Brandon. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church, 5416 Providence Road in Riverview.

Delgado, 21, of Lithia served as a private assigned to the Army's 170th Military Police Company, 504th Military Police Battalion, 42nd Military Police Brigade, based on Fort Lewis, Wash. He died in Baghdad after an explosive device flipped his vehicle into a canal. Staff Sgt. Steven C. Reynolds, 32, of Jordan, N.Y., also died in the blast.

Delgado's mother, Ellen Delgado, said the family plans to fly to Fort Lewis today for a Friday memorial service there. She asked that instead of flowers, monetary donations be given in Marc Delgado's name to the football programs at Durant and Newsome high schools.

Burial will follow Tuesday's funeral service in Hillsborough Memorial Gardens in Brandon.
