By Times Staff Writer
Published December 2, 2005

RIVERVIEW - In the next two weeks, students and parents can sound off about the proposed boundaries for east Hillsborough's two new high schools, Spoto High and Lennard High.

- Spoto High's boundaries will be discussed Tuesday. Hillsborough school officials will answer questions about the proposal and take feedback. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the media center at Riverview High, 11311 Boyette Road in Riverview.

When it opens in August in west Brandon, Spoto High may also relieve crowding at Riverview, Bloomingdale and East Bay high schools. Spoto is projected to open with 1,940 students and at 85 percent of capacity.

- Lennard High's boundaries take center stage Dec. 14. School officials again will discuss the proposed attendance zone and seek comments from the public. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at East Bay High, 7710 Big Bend Road in Gibsonton.

Lennard High, opening in August in Ruskin, would draw students from East Bay High. Lennard is projected to start the next school year with 940 students and at 41 percent capacity.
