Tierra Verde condom manufacturer looks to make 'big' name for itself

Like many people, Dexter Gabbard grew tired of working for a large company and decided to start his own business. Unlike many people, Gabbard picked condom manufacturing. And he chose a name that's, well, descriptive. The 38-year-old Tierra Verde resident founded Huge Brand Inc.

Once you get past the size jokes on the Web site (www.hugebrand.com) you learn the condoms are not larger than most, but the packages they're sold in are, possibly creating something of a credibility issue. Like selling Genius Brand eyeglasses. But the point here is to grab attention. The condoms are touted as safe and reliable and are scheduled for national distribution next year.
