TALLAHASSEE - Junior Alicia Gladden had 12 points and 12 rebounds for her first double double this season, and freshman Mara Freshour had four 3-pointers among her career-high 16 points to lead Florida State to an 81-49 victory against UCF on Sunday afternoon.
FSU (6-1) shot 51.6 percent (33-of-64) from the field and 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from 3-point range. It outrebounded the Golden Knights 44-24 en route to its fifth straight win since a two-point loss to Washington in the second game of the season.
"I was just pleased with our rebounding effort," FSU coach Sue Semrau said. "The way we came out, not only in the first half but also the second half, and rebounded the basketball was one of the biggest differences in the game. It gave us extra possessions on the offensive end."
The Golden Knights (1-5) trailed 16-13 with 12:24 left when Freshour entered the game. Her back-to-back 3-pointers started a 15-0 run over the next five minutes, giving the Seminoles a 31-13 lead.

PENN ST. 78, NO.24 TEXAS TECH 72 (2OT): Courtney Molinaro scored on a breakaway layup and hit three key free throws, and Kamela Gissendanner scored 34 for the host Nittany Lions (3-3). The Red Raiders' Erin Grant tied the score at 46 with three seconds left in regulation on an off-balance jumper from the free-throw line, then tied it at 59 in the first overtime with a desperation 3-pointer from the right wing.
