These recalled products pose serious threats

The following products were recalled between Nov. 18 and Dec. 1:
Six-million children's metal necklaces and zipper pulls from Stravina. Jewelry contains high levels of accessible lead. Necklaces are silver-colored with individual names painted in variety of colors and hang from a 16-inch black cord. Packages are marked "Personalized Necklace" and "Stravina"; UPC Code 0-35203-00039-7. Zipper pulls are silver-colored with individual names that come in various colors. Packages are marked "Personalized Zipper Pull," "Great for Backpacks and Keyrings too" and "Stravina"; UPC Code 0-35203-00038-0. Sold at discount, toy, party, grocery and drug stores from March 2002 through September 2005 for between $2 and $4. 1,100 S90 ES Synthesizers from Yamaha. Unit could emit loud "white noise" when turned off and turned on again under high temperatures, which could possibly damage a consumer's hearing. 14,000 VisionMount model VMSA swing-arm television wall-mounting units from Sanus Systems. Undersized shaft within the wall mounting unit can cause the product's main support component to loosen and collapse. Model VMSA VisionMount measures 18.5 inches high and 29 inches wide and was sold in black and silver at audio-video stores from December 2004 through May 4 for about $350. 150,000 oscillating electric tower fans distributed by Haier America Trading and manufactured by Metropolitan Electrical Appliance Co.; internal electrical arcing in the fan can cause fire. Model FTM140GG is printed on the lower back. The gray tower fan has three speed settings and a 120-minute shutoff timer. "Haier" is printed on a silver label near the top front of the tower. Sold at discount department stores nationwide from February 2004 through November for $20 to $30. Return to retailer for a credit or refund.
7,200 units of 10-in-1 Activity Trunks by Kid Connection sold at Wal-Mart stores. Toys in these trunks contain small parts, posing a choking hazard. "10-in-1 Wood Activity Trunk" is a wood box with a removable lid. Activities include a pounding bench, puzzle, stacking rings, bead maze/runner, wood alphabet blocks, wood stacking blocks of various shapes, wood train engine and plastic building blocks. One side of the trunk contains an abacus with five rows of colored beads. The other side of the trunk contains the shape sorter and pictures of a yellow tiger and purple bear with building blocks. Trunks sold for about $15 between July and September 2005. Return product to Wal-Mart for a refund.
6,000 Flexitoys Monster-Sized Vehicles from International Playthings. Small parts can detach, posing a choking hazard. Models included in the recall are: dump truck model 9000-1, race car (model 9000-2), tractor (model 9000-3), SUV (model 9000-4), firetruck (model 9000-5) and digger truck (model 9000-6). The name and model numbers are stamped on the underside of the plastic vehicles. Sold at specialty toy stores nationwide from May through September for about $4.
