Section of Vonn Road closed this week for drainage work

LARGO - Vonn Road will be closed at Walsingham Road through Friday. The closure will allow for drainage work as part of the Ulmerton Road widening project, said Kris Carson, spokeswoman for the Florida Department of Transportation. The road will remain open to local traffic at Wilcox Road near the Southwest Recreation Center. Northbound traffic on Vonn will be redirected to Indian Rocks Road, and southbound traffic will be detoured west on Wilcox. As part of the same project, the north leg of 137th Street and Walsingham will be closed Dec. 12-16.
