Drivers face detour today around work on causeway

The Treasure Island Causeway will be closed to traffic today between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. for concrete pouring.
Westbound traffic on the causeway will be turned back at 79th Street to Causeway Boulevard N or S. Eastbound causeway traffic will detour at 104th Avenue, except for local traffic to the Treasure Island Yacht Club and Paradise Boulevard. Detour routes to and from Treasure Island during the bridge closure are the Madeira Beach Causeway to the north and the Corey Causeway in St. Pete Beach to the south.
The Treasure Island Causeway Bridge will be operational for boats that need an opening. Bridge opening times are 20 minutes past the hour, 40 minutes past and at the top of the hour, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The bridge opens on demand from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
