Standout players Dave Soutar, Bob Chamberlain and Pete Couture will show off their skills this weekend in Homosassa.
Neffers is playing host to the Senior Bowlers of America Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, giving area fans the opportunity to see some of the division's top competitors.
Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, and match play is set for Sunday morning.
Neffers owner and Senior pro Steve Neff said he expects to have 50 of the nation's best bowlers, including six Professional Bowling Association Hall of Famers. Neff also will compete.
The prize will be $1,000 for first place and $500 for second. "This is the fourth one I have hosted," Neff said of the event he won in 2003. "This is a year-end tournament, and it's their biggest tournament." There is no admission to the tourney.
Neffers will play host to a New Year's Eve bowling party Dec. 31. The cost is $30 per lane.
The event is scheduled for 9:30 p.m.-1 a.m. For information, call 628-3552.PARKVIEW LANES: The Mixed Doubles Tournament is scheduled for Sunday. A luncheon starts at 1 p.m., and the bowling begins at 2. The format is three games of no-tap.
