ANNUAL JURIED SHOW: The Tarpon Springs Art Association's 15th annual Members' Juried Art Show will open tonight with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave. Shirley Talmadge will judge the show and awards will be presented during the opening reception. The show will continue through Dec. 30. Free.

HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA: A holiday winter extravaganza with dinner and entertainment by Steve Wayne will be from 5:45 to 8:30 tonight at the Palm Harbor Community Activity Center, 1500 16th St., Palm Harbor. The dinner includes roast pork, stuffing, lasagna, broccoli, salad, rolls, chocolate cake, coffee and tea. Cost is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers. Call 771-6000.

HOLIDAY FAIR: School of the Suncoast, 2476 Nursery Road, will host a Holiday Faire Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include candle dipping, block printing and creating holiday ornaments. There will be live acoustic music and handcrafted toys and gifts for sale. A silent auction will benefit the nonprofit Waldorf School.

ARTS AND ANTIQUES STROLL: Tarpon Springs Historic Downtown Business District retailers and galleries will remain open until 8 p.m Saturday. Call 942-4675.

HANDEL'S MESSIAH: The Unitarian Universalist Chorale will present the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah and other holiday favorites Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, 2470 Nursery Road. The concert is free and open to the public. Call 531-7704.

DUNEDIN PARADE: Dunedin will host its annual Holiday Family Fest and Parade Saturday at Edgewater Park. The Holiday Fest is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the parade starts at 11 a.m. Activities include entertainment, craft shows and food vendors. The parade starts at Alt. U.S. 19, south of Wilson Street and travels past Edgewater Park. The parade will feature more than 100 units and Santa Claus. Call 298-3260.

CHILDREN'S THEATER: The Play 'N Around Children's Theatre will present The Elves and the Shoemaker Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Tarpon Springs Library, 138 E Lemon St. The program will be followed by crafts and a visit from a special guest. PET PROGRAM: The Humane Society of North Pinellas' "Light the Way Home" ceremony will be Sunday at 6 p.m. at the shelter, 3040 State Road 590, Clearwater. The program features rescued and adoptable animals, entertainment, refreshments and culminates with a countdown to illuminate the shelter with lights for abandoned, abused and homeless pets. WILD HORSE ART EXHIBIT: An exhibit of 23 photographs by Wild Horse Sanctuary photographer Katey Barrett is on display through Feb. 25 in the Osceola Gallery at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N Osceola Ave. The Sanctuary, near Shingletown, Calif., is home to nearly 200 wild horses and burros. The animals are rescued from federal government holding areas where they are adopted or destroyed. Proceeds from the sale of the photographs will benefit the sanctuary.
