Forget Rochester. It's New York, New York!

Tampa Bay loves NYC. But Rochester? Not so much.
New York City remains the favorite for nonstop flights to or from Tampa International Airport. In the past year, nearly 1.7-million people flew between TIA and New York City airports, not including Islip, Long Island, which drew 189,000 passengers. (Islip is Southwest Airlines' NYC destination.) Boston was a distant second with nearly 623,000 passengers. Rochester, N.Y., and Louisville, Ky., were the least popular.

Miami Beach, beware: Shaq's toting a badge. Miami Heat superstar center Shaquille O'Neal was sworn in as a reserve police officer Thursday. He had a similar gig in L.A. when he was a Laker. He'll add the $1-a-year reserve cop pay to his $100 million, five-year Heat contract. But being a busy guy, don't look for him walking the South Beach beat. He'll work when he can, police said.
Doh! Is there any such thing as a smart crook?
True story: Teenager goes up to 25-year-old guy on the street and demands money. Guy has no money, so the teenager takes the guy's cell phone. But the teen drops his own cell phone and leaves it behind. When the victim opens it up, there's a picture of the robber on the screen. He shows it to the cops, and they nab the bad kid within minutes. This actually happened Thursday in north Tampa, at N 22nd Street and Aimee Court, authorities say. The 14-year-old was charged with robbery. Stupidity is not a crime.
