CLAREMORE, Okla. - Months after a proposal in front of thousands of fans, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood may be setting up their wedding bells.

The couple, who live in Oklahoma, filed for a marriage license Friday in Rogers County, court records show. Under Oklahoma law, a couple must be married within 10 days of the filing of a marriage license.

Brooks, 43, got on one knee and proposed to Yearwood, 41, in May in front of 7,000 fans.

The marriage will be the second for Brooks, who has three children, and the third for Yearwood.

Woman killed in crash with Sawyer Brown bus

HOLTON, Kan. - A tour bus carrying the country music group Sawyer Brown slammed into a car on a Kansas highway early Saturday, killing a 24-year-old woman, authorities said.

Both vehicles caught fire, though no injuries were reported on the bus, said Kansas Highway Patrol Capt. Steve Zeller.

Zeller said the woman in the car appeared to have run a stop sign before her vehicle was broadsided by the bus around 7:45 a.m.

The three band members aboard the bus were headed to Holton to perform on Saturday night. The town is about 65 miles northwest of Kansas City.
