SEC: UK can't keep pace with Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana coach Mike Davis hopped around, stomped his feet, argued with officials and, finally, hugged his players.
Davis overcame his most difficult obstacle as a coach, beating Kentucky.
Marco Killingsworth had 23 points and 11 rebounds, A.J. Ratliff added a career-high 21 points, and the 18th-ranked Hoosiers used a relentless defense to rout No.15 Kentucky 79-53 on Saturday - ending Davis' five-game drought against the rival Wildcats.
"It feels good because when the scores come on, I don't have to turn it to the friggin' Oxygen channel or something," Davis said. "My wife knows and everyone knows that, in the past, I don't have the TV on anything that has basketball scores on."
Ratliff delivered in his first start of the season, and Killingsworth showed he could find open teammates quicker when the Wildcats (6-3) tried to double team him. The combination put Kentucky on its heels, and Indiana (5-2) responded with its most lopsided victory in the 49-game series.
"They were obviously hungrier, more aggressive than we were," Wildcats coach Tubby Smith said. "When you go 2-for-27 (on 3s) and have four assists and 19 turnovers, you're not going to beat anybody."
TEMPLE 68, NO.22 ALABAMA 58: Dustin Salisbery hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 and Antywane Robinson had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the host Owls to their first win over a ranked team since beating No.10 Indiana on Dec.28, 2002. Jean Felix scored 19 and Jermareo Davidson grabbed 10 rebounds for the Crimson Tide (4-3). Alabama lost to an unranked team for the second time in a week, falling 78-71 to Notre Dame on Wednesday.
ILL.-CHICAGO 87, MISS. 75 (OT): Othyus Jeffers scored a career-high 18 and had a game-high 10 rebounds for the host Flames. Illinois-Chicago trailed by 12 with a little more than seven minutes to play in regulation, but it completed a comeback when Josh Mayo hit a fallaway 3-pointer to tie it at 67 with 30 seconds to go. Ole Miss' Londrick Nolen missed a 3 at the buzzer, sending it to OT.
MISS. ST. 88, TROY 77 (OT): Jamall Edmondson and Jamont Gordon each scored 17 to help the host Bulldogs (6-2) come back from a 15-point deficit. With 13 seconds left, Dietric Slater pulled down an offensive rebound and laid it back up, tying it at 75. Troy had a chance to win in regulation, but Bobby Dixon's jumper at the buzzer bounced off the rim.
GEORGIA 72, GEORGIA ST. 61: Sundiata Gaines scored 14 and Billy Humphrey added 12 as the Bulldogs (7-1) won their seventh straight. Playing an off-campus home game in Duluth, Georgia overcame 4-for-18 shooting on 3-point attempts by scoring 24 off 22 Georgia State turnovers.
CINCINNATI 92, VANDY 83: Devan Downey scored 18 for the Bearcats. Cincinnati (4-2) snapped the Commodores' 28-game nonconference home winning streak. Derrick Byers led Vanderbilt (5-1) with a career-high 25 points.
LSU 90, McNEESE ST. 70: Glen Davis (21 points) led five Tigers players in double figures. Darnell Lazare had a career-high 19, Darrel Mitchell finished with 18, Tasmin Mitchell had 13 and Tyrus Thomas 11 for the host.
