Police say suspect is a seventh-grader

TOWN 'N COUNTRY - On Tuesday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office identified the 13-year-old accused of vandalizing and burglarizing Webb Middle School as a seventh-grader at Farnell Middle School.
Deputies said the boy is affiliated with the TC Boys Gang and goes by the alias "Milky Way." He admitted to sheriff's deputies Monday that he broke into Webb Middle School on Sunday between midnight and 1:30 a.m., sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
The boy, whose name is being withheld because of his age, is charged with four felonies: burglary of a school, grand theft over $300, felony criminal mischief with damage over $1,000 and destruction of a fire alarm. While inside, the suspect vandalized the school with spray paint, removed four intercom speakers and caused more than $5,000 in damage, Carter said. He is being held in the Juvenile Assessment Center.
