This far-from-snooty book makes learning about wine casual and fun. It also gives directions on how to start a wine club and organize activities. Even better, the recipes are suited for any skill level. Pair this cookbook with a bottle of wine or wine glasses for a great gift.

The book combines recipes with science to create an impressive collection of recipes. A baking stone or proofing basket, among other items, would make a great companion gift. There are lots of pictures and thorough explanations, which make it perfect for the beginner.
