'Apprentice' hopeful makes it to final

Published December 15, 2005

St. Petersburg magazine publisher Dawna Stone made it through her final test Wednesday and earned a spot as one of two finalists heading for New York in the finale of NBC's The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.

Stone, 37, will find out next week whether she wins the grand prize: a year at Stewart's side and a $250,000 salary.

Stone watched the final taped episode of the show with about 40 friends and family at her home. After keeping this outcome a secret for so long, the future is now uncertain; next week's episode is live and she has no idea how it will turn out.
