Get Away

Every time a bell rings . . .

By Times Staff Writer
Published December 15, 2005

Sure, you've seen it dozens of times: George Bailey teeters on the brink of ruin and wishes he had never been born, only to be shown that his rather mundane life really is just swell. But admit it. You still get a little lump in your throat when Zuzu proclaims, "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings." It's a Wonderful Life after all.

Tampa Theatre is offering two chances to see the classic on the big screen this weekend - at 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The theater is at 711 Franklin St., Tampa. $7. 813 274-8981; www.tampatheatre.org
