GOING APE OVER "KONG'
King Kong, which opened Wednesday, is the weekend's monumental release. St. Petersburg Times film critic Steve Persall gave it an A. But if you've seen Kong already or the big guy isn't your style, there's The Family Stone, a new comedy with an all-star cast that includes Diane Keaton, Sarah Jessica Parker and Dermot Mulroney. Persall gave it a B+
FREE "BLACK NATIVITY' SHOWS
The Christmas theatrical productions continue with a free production of Langston Hughes' Black Nativity today through Sunday at the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg. Tickets are free, but it's advisable to check with the box office for availability. Shows are at 7:30 tonight and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. ORPHAN ANNIE DROPS IN
