FARCE FOR THE HOLIDAYS: The Avenue Players Theatre is presenting the French farce The Boor Hug, by Georges Feydeau, at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, at St. Petersburg College, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. Performances will be at 7 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Complimentary refreshments will be available after the show. Cost is $5 for members and students, $8 for nonmembers. HOLIDAY BOAT PARADE: The 19th annual Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Boat Parade will be 7 p.m. Saturday. The parade will start just south of Holiday Inn Harbourside, 401 Second St., and proceed north, winding through the fingers until it reaches the north side of the Harbor Drive inlet. The boat decorations will be judged for first, second and third place prizes in three categories. There will also be a "Judges Choice Award" for the most unusual entry and an "Elf Award." Boat captains will select the best decorated homes along the parade route. An awards ceremony will follow at the Holiday Inn Harbourside. Call 595-6889 or City Hall at 517-0404.

RED, WHITE AND SNOW: The city of Largo will host Red, White and Snow, a holiday event for children to make holiday crafts, sing songs and take pictures with Florida snow, Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at Highland Recreation Complex, 400 N Highland Ave., Largo. Santa Claus will also visit. Cost is $5 per child. Call 518-3016.

CONCERT BAND: The Clearwater Community Concert Band will perform Dec. 17 at St. Petersburg College, Clearwater campus arts auditorium. The QuintEssence Wind Quintet and Commodore Brass will perform at 1:45, the jazz band at 2:15 and the concert band at 3 p.m. Admission is free. Call 799-4437.

FREE CONCERT: Palm Harbor Community Chorus will host a free Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Union Street United Methodist Church, 1625 Union St., Clearwater. Call 442-9300.

GILBERT & SULLIVAN PLAYERS: When a troupe of actors take political power, they find themselves in a pickle in The Grand Duke, to be performed at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St. Tickets are $16 and $14. Call 942-5605.

HOLIDAY ART SHOW: Clay and Paper and Painted Fish Gallery presents its annual holiday show, "Merry Fishmas," through Dec. 31 at the gallery, 350 Main St., Dunedin. The show features ceramic sculptures, holiday cat bells, holiday jewelry, pottery, glass, etchings, paintings, calligraphy, handmade bird houses and ornaments by local artists and others from around the country. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. The gallery will be open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. Call 736-0934 or 734-5060.

ART EXHIBIT: The Dunedin Fine Art Center, 1143 Michigan Blvd., features "The Great Human Race," a collection of stone lithographs by John L. Doyle, through Dec. 24. Admission to the children's museum is $4, DFAC members free. Call 298-3322.

WILD HORSE EXHIBIT: An exhibit of 23 photographs by Wild Horse Sanctuary photographer Katey Barrett is on display through Feb. 25 in the Osceola Gallery at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N Osceola Ave. The sanctuary is home to nearly 200 wild horses and burros. The animals are rescued from holding areas, where they are kept after being removed from public lands by the federal government. Proceeds from sales benefit the sanctuary.
