Hot Tickets: The human voice is their instrument

By Times Staff Writer

From recording Taco Bell commercials to appearing on The Tonight Show, Rockapella has made an argument as one of the most profitable a cappella groups in history since finding fame as the house band for PBS's Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? series in the 1990s.

The crooning quintet of clean-cut gents will no doubt play great chunks of the 2002 Christmas album Comfort & Joy tonight in Tampa. Rockapella performs at 7:30 p.m., Tampa Theatre, Tampa. $30 adults, $21 12 and younger. (813) 274-8981.
