Year's top middle school science teacher recognized

INVERNESS - The Citrus County School Board recently recognized Inverness Middle School teacher Steve Crandall for being awarded the Florida Association of Science Teachers Outstanding Middle School Science Teacher of the Year. Crandall teaches eighth grade.

Criteria included significant contributions to science education, service in the area of science and contributions to students in lessons and curriculum.

Crandall has written for science journals and has given state and national presentations. He has worked with the National Science Teacher Association.

Crandall is a national board certified science teacher.
