Teen driver killed when pickup topples on her

PLANT CITY - A teenager was killed Tuesday in a car crash that ended with her pickup falling on top of her.

Kyla Gamble, 16, of 1202 E Clarkwood in Plant City was driving east on Knights-Griffin Road, east of State Road 39, at 11:30 a.m. when she veered on a curve and overcorrected, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The 1997 pickup flipped several times.

Gamble, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, which then fell on top of her, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Gamble died at the scene.

No other cars were involved.
