Enterprise Zone Rural Job Tax Credit
One of a number of tax credits for businesses that create jobs in rural areas designated by the state as enterprise zones. Eligible companies can get sales tax credits or corporate income tax credits of up to 45 percent of wages paid to certain new employees. The chart is just for approvals through March 2003. This credit is among an array of state tax breaks available to companies in enterprise zones. Cost of those state breaks in 2003-2004: $7,201,262.
