Cowboys bounce back

STILLWATER, Okla. - Mario Boggan scored 27 and JamesOn Curry 19 as Oklahoma State overcame the absence of three key players to beat Arkansas State 84-64 Saturday.
The Cowboys (9-4) rebounded from a blowout loss to Alabama-Birmingham despite missing starters Marcus Dove and David Monds to injury and reserve Torre Johnson to suspension.
Coach Eddie Sutton put the Cowboys through a brutal series of practices after the 90-71 Blazers rout Tuesday, including wearing football helmets and pads to improve toughness.
PENN ST. 65, MOUNT ST. MARY'S (MD.) 53: Geary Claxton scored 16 and Jamelle Cornley 14 and helped the host Nittany Lions (8-3) pull away in the second half.
MICH. 86, CHICAGO ST. 69: Courtney Sims scored 22 to lead four players in double figures for the host Wolverines (10-1), who equaled their best start since 1989-90.
MINN. 67, ORAL ROBERTS 54: Maurice Hargrow scored 23 as the host Golden Gophers (9-2) won their seventh straight.
COLO. 83, DARTMOUTH 65: Martane Freeman had 17 points and nine rebounds for the host Buffaloes (9-1), who have won eight straight and are off to their best start since 10-1 in 1978-79.
TEXAS A&M 73, N'WESTERN ST. 61: Joseph Jones had 22 points and nine rebounds as the host Aggies improved to 10-0 for the second straight season.
USC 82, STANFORD 71: Lodrick Stewart had 18 points and eight rebounds as the host Trojans (10-3, 1-1 Pac-10) held off a late rally.
OREGON 70, OREGON ST. 64: Aaron Brooks scored a season-high 19 to lead the host Ducks (7-6) in a Pac-10 opener.
WASH. ST. 64, ARIZ. ST. 49: Kyle Weaver scored 15 and Derrick Low 13, and the host Cougars pulled away with a late 11-0 run.
