SEATTLE - Hassan Adams and Brandon Roy lived up to their billing Saturday: They were their teams' best players in a taut, topflight game that demanded nothing less.
Adams scored a career-high 32, including eight points and consecutive 3-pointers in the two overtimes, to trump Roy's career high-tying 35 as Arizona rallied to a 96-95 victory over No. 7 Washington.
The nation's longest home winning streak ended at 32 games when Kirk Walters, displaced in the starting lineup by freshman Marcus Williams, made a free throw with 5.1 seconds left.
That, along with Mustafa Shakur's 23 points, gave Arizona (9-3, 2-0 Pac-10) its seventh straight win after it trailed by 13 at halftime.
"Oh, man. That was a great game," said Walters, who finished with three points. "We'll see if it's on ESPN Classic soon."
The Huskies (11-1, 1-1) saw their best chance to win end when Roy fouled out with 54 seconds left. Williams then gave Arizona a 95-94 lead with a free throw. Washington's Jamaal Williams, a 56 percent free-throw shooter, tied it with 38 seconds left before Walters answered with his winner.
Without Roy, Washington was left with Ryan Appleby's long, desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer. It fell well short.
"This was probably the best game I've ever played in where my team needed me to do so much at both ends of the floor," said Roy, who forced overtime by hitting a layup with 42 seconds left, then a 3-pointer with 5.6 seconds left to tie it at 81. Those came after he missed successive shots and two free throws once Arizona took the lead.
At the end of the first overtime, Roy sank a 3-pointer from between Arizona's Williams and Adams at the buzzer.
NO. 8 GONZAGA 102, SAINT JOE'S 94: J.P. Batista had a career-high 32 points and 15 rebounds as the Bulldogs (10-3) won their 30th straight at home, the longest streak in the nation. Gonzaga scored 36 in the paint, most by the 6-foot-9 Batista, had 20 points off turnovers and got 15 second-chance points.
NO. 9 MICH. ST. 78, COPPIN ST 54.: Maurice Ager scored 25 and Shannon Brown 21, and the host Spartans (12-2) won their 11th straight and set a school record for nonconference wins. Ager, the Big Ten's leading scorer, made 4 of 8 3-pointers and had four assists.
CAL 68, NO. 11 UCLA 61: Ayinde Ubaka scored 18, including a basket in the final minute after grabbing a loose ball, as the visiting Golden Bears (8-3, 2-0 Pac-10) ended the Bruins' (11-2, 1-1) eight-game winning streak.
NO. 17 INDIANA 80, BALL ST. 56: Robert Vaden scored 17 of his 22 in the first half, and D.J. White added 16 points and nine rebounds in his first start of the season for the visiting Hoosiers (8-2).
ST. MARY'S (CALIF.) 89, NO. 20 NEVADA 80: Brett Collins scored 12 of his career-high 31 during an 18-0 second-half run that led the Gaels (6-5) to their second win over a ranked team in more than 30 years. The Wolf Pack (10-2) had its 14-game road winning streak snapped.
