Senior residents offered free legal counseling

Appointments are being taken for free half-hour consultations with an attorney offered through the service Helping the Elderly with Legal Problems. Participants must be Pasco County residents age 60 or older. The appointments will start at 1 p.m.

On Jan. 12, the consultations will be at the CARES Claude Pepper Senior Center, 6640 Van Buren St., New Port Richey. Call the center at (727) 844-3077 for an appointment.

On Jan. 17, the appointments will be at the CARES Phil Mishkin Center, 7505 Rottingham Road, Port Richey. Call the center at (727) 862-9291 to make an appointment.

Also

The Hudson Opera Club will show the screen adaptation of Mozart's Don Giovanni at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road in Hudson. Admission is free.

The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 79 will have its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the American Legion Paradise Post 79, 5329 Legion Place, New Port Richey.
