Tampa police are looking for a young boy missing since New Year's Eve.

The boy, Malachi Hopkins, 3, was in the company of a friend of his mother when he left his home about 8:30 p.m. and has not been seen since. Malachi has a chronic lung disease and requires the use of an inhaler in case of an attack.

Police said he was last seen with Phillip Holland, 27, when the two left the boy's home at 417 E Nordica Street. The boy was seen wearing a diaper and a gray tank top.

Holland was driving a newer model Jeep Cherokee that is metallic gold in color with no tag seen. Detectives are searching all known addresses for Holland.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call Detective Parrish at (813) 276-3562 or call Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.
