The Orchid Society of West Pasco will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Seven Springs Golf and Country Club, 3535 Trophy Blvd., New Port Richey.

Bring problem plants to be evaluated.

The Suncoast Maryland, Delaware and Virginia Club will meet at noon Wednesday at St. Stephen's Church, 5326 Charles St., New Port Richey.

Registration is under way for the Knights of Columbus ' annual basketball free-throw competition for boys and girls ages 10 to 14.

The competition will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Holiday Recreation Center, 2830 Gulf Trace Blvd. in Holiday.

Dinner and dancing

The Ladies Auxiliary of AMVETS Post 16 , 9638 State Road 52, Hudson, will have a lasagna dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The group Sea Breeze will perform.

The cost is $6. Proceeds will go toward the Ladies Auxiliary's projects.

Tickets are $10, $9 for members. Dancing only is $4.

Two Left Feet Entertainment will present a "Dance to the Beat Dance Party" on Wednesday at the Orchid Lake Village Civic Association center, 7425 Orchid Lake Road, New Port Richey.

A lesson will be given at 6:30 p.m., and dancing will follow from 7:15 to 10.

The cost is $5.
