TAMPA - Hillsborough sheriff's deputies are investigating a Sunday crash that left a Wimauma man in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital, after he ran into the back of a semitrailer truck.

At 3:18 a.m. Sunday, 55-year-old Lynn Jackson of 10203 Connechusett Road in Tampa, was turning a 2005 Mack truck at Westlake Drive and Talisman Road, according to investigators.

Guillermo Marcial-Terez, 21, of 5407 Ruth Morris Road in Wimauma, was driving a 1999 Dodge Neon south on Westlake Drive and did not see the truck turning around. He hit the trailer portion of the Mack truck and was rushed to TGH, sheriff's officials said.

Jackson was not injured.
