PLANT CITY - A Plant City man arrested Monday and accused of breaking the leg of a 3-year-old faced additional child abuse charges Wednesday.
Hillsborough deputies say George Allen Ross, 26, of 1125 E Trapnell Road, spanked a 6-year-old girl with a belt, leaving a 6-inch bruise on her buttocks and a 2-inch bruise on her stomach. The child was visiting Ross' residence between Dec. 2 and Dec. 5, deputies said, and also had bruises on her right lower back and thigh.
Ross was already accused of aggravated child abuse after deputies said he kicked a 3-year-old boy and broke his right thighbone. Ross told investigators the child was disrespectful to his mother.
He remained in Orient Road Jail Wednesday with bail set at $27,000.
