Computer service call leads to child pornography charges

TARPON SPRINGS - A 55-year-old man has been arrested on three counts of possession of child pornography, authorities said Wednesday.

Paul Allen Thomas, who is self-employed, had asked his wife to hire a computer technician because his computer was running slowly, arrest reports state. The technician discovered the images and movies, which showed children as young as 6 performing sex acts, the reports state. Thomas, who was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday, was released the same day after posting $20,000 bail. His attorney, Larry Sandefer, would not comment on the charges. "It's early and I've got to investigate and check into it," he said.
