FAMILY MEMBERS AND caregivers will have three opportunities to participate in the Aging Parents Seminar series 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tampa Jewish Community Center, 13009 Community Campus Drive, Tampa. JANUARY IS CERVICAL CANCER Awareness Month. Cervical cancer is almost entirely preventable because of prevention and detection provided by screening. Current general guidelines recommend that women have a Pap test at least once every three years, beginning about three years after they become sexually active or no later than age 21. The Pinellas County Health Department and various community clinics offer free or reduced-cost cervical exams. To learn more about screening programs in your area, call 211.

GET SET FOR the 3rd Annual St. Pete Beach Classic 10K/5K Run & Walk and Health & Fitness Expo Jan. 13-14 on St. Pete Beach. There will be free health screenings from St. Petersburg General Hospital; door prizes and giveaways on both days. On Saturday, the 10K Competitive Run starts at 7:45 a.m.; the 5K Run/Fitness Walk at 8:15 a.m.; the One Mile Fun Run at 9:15 a.m.; and the Chick-fil-a Children's Races at 9:45 a.m. The post race party begins at 10 a.m. and is free to all participants.
