Motel temporarily closes, but reasons are unclear

CRYSTAL RIVER - The Hayes Motel temporarily closed its doors Friday, but details about the reasons were unclear late in the day.

The hotel is at 1151 NW U.S. 19, on the east side of the highway just south of the Crystal River Mall. Officials with Citrus County government were at the hotel Friday evening but declined to comment. Guests received refunds.
