Pressure drop leads to boil water advisory

By Times Staff Writer
Published January 14, 2006

HOLIDAY - U.S. Water issued a boil-water notice Friday for all Anclote Utilities customers after a leak caused a pressure drop, which could allow bacteria to breed in the system.

Customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for one minute before using it for drinking or cooking, or use bottled water until tests show the tap water is safe to use. Anyone with questions can call U.S. Water at (727) 848-8292.

Water advisory lifted after test results

HUDSON - Officials lifted a water advisory Friday for the Robert J. Strickland Beach, also known as Hudson Beach, after finding acceptable levels of enteric bacteria in the water. The bacteria are an indication of fecal pollution, which could come from stormwater runoff, animal waste or sewage, the Pasco County Health Department said.
