Autopsy confirms girl in Homosassa drowned

By Times Staff Writer
Published January 19, 2006

HOMOSASSA - An autopsy confirmed that a 23-month-old Homosassa girl found floating in a man-made pond Tuesday drowned, Citrus County sheriff's spokeswoman Gail Tierney said. The child, Gabriella Ullom, had a bump on her head, but it was unrelated to the cause of her death, Tierney said. Gabriella was found in the afternoon by her mother, Priscilla Esser, 24, investigators say. Esser told investigators she thought Gabriella was taking a nap, but she must have slipped outside and fallen into a pond in the family's front yard.
