CFCC FOUNDATION BOARD AND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS: The Central Florida Community College Foundation has announced the new members of its board of directors and executive committee.

Tax collector Janice Warren, Cox Communications community relations manager Rosey Moreno-Jones and tax lawyer Tommy Permenter Jr., an associate at Bond, Arnett, Phelan, Smith and Craggs, P.A., were elected to three-year terms on the board of directors.

The following board members were elected to the executive committee for 2006: E. L. Foster, chair; Brent Malever, vice chair; Michele Maier, secretary; Rusty Branson, treasurer; Mary Cay Landt, immediate past chair; Avis Craig, vice president, administration; Drexel Collins, vice president, programs; and Jim McNeely, member at large.

TEACHERS HONORED: The Veterans of Foreign Wars District 7 announces the winners for this year's National Citizenship Education Teacher Award: Beverly Hinkson, Hernando Christian School, sponsored by VFW Post 7122, Floral City, and Steven L. Norton, Lecanto Middle School, sponsored by VFW Post 4252, Hernando. These teachers will represent District 7 (Hernando and Citrus counties) for state and possibly national honors.
