Medicare drug plans to be explained

Medicare Matters, a group that helps people sort through Medicare's new drug coverage, will offer free one-on-one counseling at two Tampa Bay locations this week.

Counselors with computers, operating out of a mobile van, can help people decide whether they need a new Medicare drug plan and which plans seem to suit their specific medications.

The van will rotate around the Tampa Bay area for four months. This week's schedule:

TODAY: Ruskin Neighborhood Service Center, 201 14th Ave. SE, Ruskin, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WEDNESDAY: Senior Fun Fest! Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N, Tampa, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

THURSDAY: Florida State Fairgrounds, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
