The following recruits have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas:
Air Force Airman 1st Class Henry B. Belcher III, son of Kathleen Belcher of Gulfport and Henry Belcher of Odessa, and a 2005 graduate of Central High School in Brooksville.
Air Force Airman Avyon M. Green, daughter of Russell Allen and granddaughter of Leroy Williams, both of St. Petersburg, and a 2002 graduate of Boca Ciega High School.
Air Force Airman Angela Lomax, niece of Jennifer Geddes of St. Petersburg and a 2001 graduate of Gibbs High School.

Navy Fireman Peter A. Bierhuizen, son of Philip C. Bierhuizen of St. Petersburg, has completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Army Pvt. Nikia T. Najjar Hayes, daughter of Delores and Phillip Hayes of St. Petersburg, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is a 1993 graduate of Lakewood High School.

Marine Corps Pvt. Travis D. Talley, son of Susan M. and Walter R. Talley of St. Petersburg, has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.
