Those interested in St. Petersburg Collegiate High School have two chances to learn more before the deadline.

Students interested in attending St. Petersburg Collegiate High School next year have two more chances to attend an information meeting and pick up an application.
Rather than applying for a seat for the 2006-07 school year during the school district's choice application period, current ninth-, 10th- and 11th-graders must attend one of the meetings and submit an application before the March 1 deadline.
The collegiate high school, a collaborative effort between the school district and St. Petersburg College, allows highly motivated students to earn a standard diploma and an associate's degree in the time it would take to graduate from high school.
Students considering St. Petersburg Collegiate High School must be residents of Pinellas County. Tenth-graders entering the precollegiate program should have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and passing scores on the eighth-grade Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test.
Students entering as 11th-graders must have a minimum 3.0 unweighted high school grade point average.
Those selected for the program will be notified by March 15, before the start of the district's choice attendance area application period, which begins March 21.
The parent and student orientation meetings will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on these dates:
Feb. 1 in the arts auditorium on the Clearwater campus of St. Petersburg College, 2465 Drew St.
Feb. 15 in the music center of the Gibbs campus of St. Petersburg College, 6605 Fifth Ave. N
Families will receive more application information at the meetings. For additional details see www.spcollege.edu/spchs
