Concerts, theater or tractors, anyone?
There's lots to do around the county this weekend. Get out and about for music, comedy, art and drama.

Okay, so there's no NFL football this weekend, so why not go out and take in some culture? Or at least a tractor pull.
An antique tractor pull continues today and Sunday at the Citrus County Fairgrounds on U.S. 41 S, Inverness. The event will be at the covered livestock arena at the fairgrounds. Pulls start at 8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. Sunday. Tickets at the door will be $10 for adults, $5 for for children ages 6-11. Call 726-3923.
The local community theaters are in full swing this weekend as well.
Legends, a comedy about two feuding but faded actors who reluctantly agree to star in a play because they need the money, continues weekends through Feb. 5 at the Arts Center Theater, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., Citrus Hills. Performances are 2 and 7:30 p.m. today and Sunday. Tickets are $15. Call the box office at 746-7606.
This is the last weekend of The Melody Lingers On, the Music of Irving Berlin. The musical retrospective closes its run Sunday at Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19 Crystal River. Show times are 8 p.m. today ; 2 p.m. Sunday. Ticket are $15 for adults and $10 for students with IDs. Call the box office at 563-1333 for reservations or information. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
An art exhibi t from Douglas Prescott Murray will be at the Cultural Center East Wall Gallery through Feb. 2.
Murray, a native of Massachusetts, spent four decades as a successful artist, working in design, layout and illustration. After retiring, Douglas and his wife, Mary, began spending their winters in Citrus County.
His works are large representational renderings in watercolor, pen and ink, oil, pastel, pencil and air brush. The East Wall Gallery is at 2644 N Annapolis Ave., Citrus Hills, which is also the location of the Art Center Theatre. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m.
An exhibit of African art is on display at the Central Ridge Library, 425 W Roosevelt Blvd., Beverly Hills, and the Coastal Region Library, 8619 W Crystal St., Crystal River. The exhibit is on loan from the private collection of Citrus residents Jack and Maggie Bregger.

Comedian Patrick Janka will headline at 8:30 p.m. today at Giggles comedy club at the Park Inn Hotel, 4076 S Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa Springs. The featured performer will be Shannon Thompson. Tickets are $7. Doors open for dinner at 7:30 p.m. Call 628-4311 for information.
Blues lovers can attend a workshop "History of Women in the Blues" from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St. Free admission. After that, a concert with blues acts Gaye Adegbalola and pianist Roddy Barnes; opening acts T.C. Carr and Lenny Austin will begin at 7:30 p.m. today at Bourbon Street Concert Club, 4331 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for the New Port Richey Public Library.
Another short drive away, the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19 in Hudson, will present Cabaret through Feb. 26. Shows are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays and 1:30 p.m. some Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Doors open two hours before each show for included buffet and cash bar.
