$10,000 reward offered for tips in farmer's slaying

Confronting the loss of one of their own to violence, the Florida Strawberry Growers Association has put up a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Plant City farmer Bruce White.

The 61-year-old strawberry grower was shot to death when he answered a knock at his front door on Jan. 9 at 6 a.m. White had time to provide a brief description of the attacker before he died, saying he was a white man in need of a shave.
